Creative Drawing. Tutorial 7: Watercolour W.I.P

Hello Everyone,

Today's Lesson: Watercolour.


As previously said in my last blog Introduction to Creative Drawing and Equipment I haven't done traditional drawing or paintings in over 6 years so I'm a little rusty. I done the tutorials out of order on purpose because I was really excited about working with watercolours. I have done bits and pieces trailing out my other supplies which I will show on a later date with the relevant tutorial posts. 

Watercolours excited me because I use to play with watercolours back in high school in art class and it was something I felt comfortable starting with and sharing with everyone. So far all I have started with is testing my watercolours and doing a few of the warm ups to get use to using watercolours once again. Below you will see my work in progress.

Introduction to Creative Drawing Tutorials and Equipment

Hello Everyone, Today's discussion: Introduction to Creative Drawing and Equipment. I got the new cluster Creative drawing early October 2019 and was both excited and worried. I gave a quick look through the modules and the assessments I knew straight away I wanted to work on Assessment One: Essay. I wanted to get it out of the way so I didn't have to worry about it while working on the more interactive part of the course the tutorials. I did this both because writing essays is normally quite difficult and I didn't have of the equipment needed to start. In the past 6 years I've done nothing but drawing digitally on anything from a Wacom drawing pad, a Samsung Tablet and to my current set up a windows surface pro so I had nothing. The only time I drew with a piece of paper and a pencil was when I playing around and drawing funny little doodles that my little sister asked me to draw right then and there. Portrait Illustration Assessment 1 WIP

Hello Everyone, Today I am working on my Assessment My first assessment for the course and I'm excited to start. Once I knew what my first assessment was a portrait I was excited especially because I was able to draw someone super special in my life. Someone who inspires me and mentors me in her own special way. Someone who encourages me to continue working on my art and encourages me to do great in my personal art and in my professional course work art. My best friend Naomi. I've drawn so many portraits of Naomi for practice for poses, facial expressions, hairstyles, outfits and more. I feel like I have learnt a lot from her. She is an artist herself and her drawing style inspires me to created new and magical pieces of art some good some bad. Practice makes perfect.  To start of this assessment was easy.
